St. Peter Parish and Catholic Campus Ministry is planning a Mission Trip to Jamaica again in January or March 2018. The time has yet to be determined. Anyone is welcome to apply or sign up for more information. We have had a diverse group of participants in the past ranging in ages from 15-79, including students, professional construction workers, nurses, therapists, grandmas and our priest. We expect to work with Mustard Seed Communities (www.mustardseed.com) in Jamaica again.
In June of both 2012 and 2014 we participated in immersion trips with Mustard Seed Communities in Kingston Jamaica. Both of these trips included caring for the special needs orphaned children and also working on small construction or work projects during the week at various sites.
In January, 2016 we went on our third Mission Trip to Jamaica. This trip had a different focus from the immersion trips in 2014 and 2012. We worked with the special needs residents at Jacob's Ladder in Moneague, Jamaica and worked on building new cottages for new residents at this expanding site.
